All new graduates need their own business cards as part of their job search resources. Why?
During your job search and networking there will be many times when you will meet someone and want to re-connect at a later time. What better way to have them ‘remember’ you than to hand them your business card?
As a graduating student you must have a business card as part of your job-search resources along with your resumé, cover/ introductory letter, references and portfolio (if applicable).
The business card need only say: Your Name, Graduate, Phone Number and Email. This is the best way to be remembered after an introduction or meeting.
It makes you look serious, professional and enthusiastic. You can always find business card templates in most word processing applications or on-line.
If you don’t have a business card, your only hope of being remembered is that the person you meet has a good memory.
